This work reports the synthesis of a bimetallic catalyst composed of Pd and Cu nanoparticles supported on activated Vulcan
carbon (Pd-Cu/C). The Pd-Cu/C catalyst was synthesized using the microwave-assisted polyol method and characterized
by studying its physicochemical and structural properties using various techniques such as Scanning Electron Microscopy,
Energy-Dispersive Spectroscopy, Rutherford Backscattering Spectrometry, and X-Ray Diffraction. These techniques
demonstrated the formation of the Pd-Cu/C alloy with a cubic crystalline structure. The electrochemical characterization of
the catalyst reported excellent activity in the electro-oxidation of ethanol (1.0 M) and bio-ethanol (1.0 M) in alkaline medium
(1 M KOH). Additionally, the catalyst showed stability for 100 cycles (with an applied potential of -0.19 V vs the saturated
Calomel electrode) without exhibiting catalyst poisoning by CO or generating by-products
